Students in second grade have been learning about fossils. Our STEM activity was to make fossils in plaster of paris. The students had a great time making the fossils. Fourth and fifth grade will add layers to our fossils as part of their STEM lesson.
Second Grade students work on their Save Fred project. The students had to figure out a way to put the life jacket on "Fred" without touching him.
Mrs. Harville’s second grade class went to the STEM to explore microscopes an magnifying glasses. They made a chart to record their predictions of what was under each microscope. Then they lifted up the card to find out if they were correct. They loved being scientists and making predictions.
